Semi-Wordless Wednesday
This week I decided to join in on Semi-Wordless Wednesday simply because I had an idea. And it's actually Sunday night, but I knew if I didn't do it now I wouldn't! So here's to my first scheduled post!
I know everyone has seen the sign put out by the British during WWII in the case of an invasion:
But I love when people put their own twist on it and make something hilarious. Here's some I found:
Then there are these:
And my personal favorite:
Happy Humpday Yall!

Hilton Head Trip 2011
I'm back again! After much fun and relaxation it's just about time for school to start again. Booooo! But let's not talk about that just yet!
Beau and I spent a wonderful week in HHI along with my parents. We ate at so many amazing places, lounged by the pool and on the beach, went deep sea fishing, climbed a lighthouse and took and sunset dinner cruise to name a few things. If in HHI you absolutely MUST go to the Skull Creek Boathouse and Roast Fish and Cornbread. AMAZING! I don't like looking like a super tourist taking pictures at restaurants so...I didn't. Just take my word for it.
Warning: Lots of pictures!
In Savannah,GA
Beau on the top of the Harbour Town Lighthouse
Me being an awesome fisher
Private beach, NBD
Cool bus on Dafuskie Island
Pretty sunset on our dinner cruise
Haig Point Lighthouse
Harbour Town Lighthouse and marina

I'm Back!
After a month long sentence of microbiology I have finally reemerged into real life! Don't worry I'll forgive yall for not throwing me an Oprah-esque going away party! Since rejoining the real world I've been going, going, going spending time with family and friends.
Beau and I spent the 4th in Murrell's Inlet with my parents.
Aren't we cute?
This is the first dress I've successfully sewed with my sewing machine I got for Christmas! It's blue seersucker on top and red and white seersucker on the bottom. :) Very festive!
Here's some shots of the awesome fireworks display!
We've also spent some time at the waterpark and of course all of our other free time has been spent on the lake!
One of the first pictures of my new haircut back in June
All-American boys throwing the pigskin around
Our favorite couple (besides us of course!)
So there you go, that's what I've been up to. I've still been trying to keep up with reading blogs and I promise to be a more frequent poster.
Tomorrow we are off to a friend's lake house until Saturday. Jusque-la

Happy Memorial Day!

(Belated) Recipe Wednesday: Meatloaf and Roasted Potatoes and Asparagus
Finally something not stuffed! Well as much as I would love to share my meatloaf recipe, because let me tell yall, it is rather delicious, I have been sworn to secrecy. Sorry! I wouldn't usually cook something I'm not giving up the recipe to, but me and Beau were craving it.
Anyways, I can share a delicious and healthy side dish with yall.
Here's what you'll need:
3/4 lb of yukon gold potatoes, cubed
1 Tbsp of olive oil
4 cloves of garlic
2 tsp rosemary
2 tsp thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 bunch of asparagus
pepper to taste
serves 3
So start by preheating your oven to 425. Then, on a foil covered baking sheet, toss potatoes with olive oil and seasonings. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes.
Mix in asparagus and continue cooking 15 minutes.
Then increase the temperature to 450, remove foil and continue cooking an additional 5-10 minutes.
Season with pepper to taste.
Sorry for the complete lack of pictures. I promise I won't be as slack next week!
On another note, Beau and I have been making the effort to take walks after dinner lately and Tuesday we decided to go to the Riverwalk for the first time. It was awesome! So pretty and it just seemed crazy to me that this was a 10 minute walk from downtown Cola. Needless to say we will be frequenting it much more often!
AND for the first time in my life I won something! Yall don't understand, I am a frequent visitor to contestbee.com to enter sweepstakes. I enter anything and everything, even if I'm not that interested in the prize, but up until today I had never won. Today EAS over at Let the Tide Pull Your Dream Ashore informed me I had won her Sperry giveaway!
Here's my loot:
Perfect timing too, Beau is in dire need of a new pair of Sperrys! Thanks again EAS!
