Feliz Cinco de Mayo! For this week's installment of Pink & Green Thursday I'm linking up with Trish of Pink Preppy Lilly Lover! She has a fab blog so check her out and join the blog hop!
How do you prefer your margarita? Salted or unsalted? Frozen or on the rocks? I'm more of an on the rocks type of girl.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe Cinco de Mayo! Just remember don't eat the worm!

Recipe Wednesday: Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms & Paprika Pork Chops
If you have never tried any of my recipes, TRY THE MUSHROOMS! They were so good! I'm not like a huge fan of mushrooms, but I would eat these everyday! I got the recipe from Publix so if you have one check them out. If not, here's what you'll need:
1 1/2 lbs of fresh, large mushrooms
1/2 lb sausage
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 garlic glove, minced
1/2 pkg softened cream cheese
1/4 tsp. hot sauce (I subbed crushed red pepper)
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
Sliced green onions or chopped parsley (optional)
For the pork chops:
pork chops (obviously)
salt and pepper to taste
paprika
onion powder
So start out by preheating your oven to 350F/180C. Clean your mushrooms off with a damp paper towel and remove stems.
After that start browning the sausage and onion. When near done add the garlic so it doesn't burn. Drain. Then you stir in the cream cheese, stirring until melted. Then stir in the Worcestershire and hot sauce.
Then just spoon this deliciousness into the mushrooms and bake for about 15 minutes. I did 12 and they were perfect!
After those are in the oven, season your pork chops with salt, pepper, onion powder and paprika. Go heavier than you think you need to on the pork chops since most of it seems to cook off. I wish I had! I cooked mine for around 5 minutes on each side.
Voila! I served this scrumptious meal with jambalaya rice (Zatarain's) and a salad.
BTW, has anyone noticed that 75% of my recipes seem to involve something stuffed?! Just an observation! Let me know how this turns out for yall!

So true!
Found this picture that I feel like every woman can get a kick out of. When I showed Beau he was offended and said "I know more colors than that!". Haha, men. Thats why when I tell him to wear the honeydew shirt he comes out wearing the lime, gasp! Just kidding!
BTW, I have something quite scrumptious (I hope!) in store for tomorrow's installment of Recipe Wednesday!

CUPCAKE!
So for the very first time I went to cupcake on Lincoln Street. Can I just say, so cute (and delicious)! Cupcake has three locations in Mt. Pleasant, Charleston and Columbia (duh!). They have a menu that changes throughout the week and seasons which means there will always be something new to try! You can check out their menu here. They make mini cupcakes that would be just perfect at a cocktail party, jumbo cupcakes (by order) for small get-togethers and they even do wedding cupcakes!
In addition to delicious cupcakes, Cupcake also started donating the leftover cupcakes each night to various causes.
They have some of the most imaginative and scrumptious cupcakes! Today I tried the French Toast:
The always daring Beau tried the Vanilla with Chocolate:
Others that sound delicious include:
At $3 a cupcake, the price is a little steep. Also, Beau was not impressed, but I loved mine. I think to really enjoy them you have to get something you wouldn't (or couldn't) make at home.
Sorry for all the yummy cupcake pictures at the beginning of bikini season, but everyone needs a little indulgence!
And check out this cool delivery car for the store in Charleston!

Don't yall just love...
When you throw something odd together for dinner and it turns out delicious?! That's what happened to me tonight. Seeing as how I've studied all day I was about ready to just order takeout for dinner, but I peeled myself off the couch and began making chicken alfredo, a regular around our house.
This really didn't sound good to me, but then I got the idea to cook a few pieces of green and red bell pepper with the chicken and stir it into the sauce.
OMG it was so good! I encourage everyone to try it sometime!
I don't have any pictures since its not Wednesday, but maybe I'll make it one day!
Take this:
and spice it up with this!
Have a wonderful week!

Lord give me the strength!
To be diligent in studying and make it through the next two days! Today I'm stuck inside studying on this beautiful day while Beau doesn't have a care in the world. Oh the perils of being a nursing major! This is me for the next two days:
Well this is a place where I had a funny picture of finals stress, but for some reason I blogger isn't resizing them and they are huge. (BTW I am not a fan of the new photo options)
Then after a 9AM exam on Tuesday I am HOME FREE! That is until my summer class begins on May 30 haha. I promise to be more interesting next week!

Friday's Royal Fancies
Like a lot of other people on the planet, I watched (and loved!) the royal wedding this morning. Actually I watched it after a nice long peaceful sleep! I just couldn't bring myself to get up early and I'm glad I didn't since I fast forwarded through all the coverage of the common people. Haha.
I guess my invite got lost in the mail because I never received it, imagine that! If I had gone, I would have liked to have worn something like this:
My first polyvore! So neat!
I have to say, Catherine stole the show in her beautiful gown. It reminded me a lot of Grace Kelly's wedding dress. Either way she looked stunning. A few of my favorite moments from the day:

How did yall celebrate this historic occasion? I wish I had thought to have a big watch party, they looked like such fun!
And remember, pinkies up ladies!
